Campaigns of the Wc has taken up issues at local, national and global level that effects the daily lives of the people directly and indirectly. Various campaigns are organized to build solidarity among groups, to raise public awareness and to call government attention to the issues affecting women.
The WC is a member of the International Jubilee 2000 campaign a world wide initiative of NGOs,political parties,community organizations and grass root level activists.The aim of the campaign is to advocate for the cancellation of blacklog of unpaid debts of poor countries by the year 2000.In 1997, the Wc launched a 1000 days campaign and organized "yatra" a moving demonstration where participants rode in buses,in some districts in Tamilnadu.Whereever the yatra sopped, dance ,street play ,songs, speeches and petition signing were held.
A massive demonstration was organized in front of the American embassy to commemorate 500th day of campaign and representations were sent to all G8 countries embassies to be forwarded to their respective country leaders demanding the cancellation of debt.
The campaign has widened its scope by becoming a campaign against globalization from 1St januvary 2001 and now as part of world social forum the belief is strengthened that "another world is possible"
