Around 100 women activists belonging to the newly formed outfit organization against the destruction of Eelam tamil race took on an indefinte hunger strike at kolathur Chennai from 13.04.2009 ,and appealed to congress president Sonia Gandhi to intervene in ongoing war in Srilanka and stop killing of innocent Tamilians.
